Snow Day

So yesterday here in Logan town we had quite a wonderful snow storm. Ben and I enjoyed watching it come down from our windows and then today, we had some fun playing with Isaac, Zachary, and Wyatt. I think fresh fallen snow is so pretty. It just really adds to the holiday season and makes us really excited for it all!

Family Pictures

So my family just recently got some family pictures taken. I'm pretty sure it had been about 6 years since our last ones. (If you don't count our wedding.) So we were definitely in need of new pictures. Everyone is so grown up now! I can hardly believe Allie is in college... I wouldn't if I didn't see her all the time because she is up here in Logan. Haha. I love having Allie around and I'm so amazed at what a beautiful young woman she has become. I can't believe Josh is in high school. Little Joshy! Ha ha, he will be turning 16 next year and be old enough to date and drive. Scary! Braden is in middle school and is quite the lady's man, so I've been told. He still has his sweet heart though which I hope never changes. Hannah, too, has grown up to be quite the cute girl. I can't believe how much we have all changed. I'm so grateful for my family, for my parents who raised me so well. I'm grateful for the relationships I have with each and every one of them. I am also grateful for my wonderful husband Ben. I still can't believe sometimes that I am married to my best friend. My family is amazing. They are the biggest part of who I am today. So anyway, that being said, here are some of the pictures for you all to enjoy.
What a good looking bunch of people.
Cute little Hannah! Love her smile and her diva personality.
Sweet Braden. What a hunk. Rockin' the fedora hat for sure. Love ya bud!
Josh! What a stud! Ha ha I think he looks great in this picture. I bet all the girls love him. I know I do.
Beautiful Allie. Love her! So glad we are becoming closer now that she's here in Logan.
Ben and I have a family picture now too!
I absolutely love this one. What a sweet husband! I am truly blessed.
Last but not least are Mom and Dad. The ones who started it all. For us kids at least haha. I don't know where I'd be without them, but I'm so grateful for all they do for me always. Love you!

The Figgins kids. So glad I've taken time to get to know them all. I want to continue to get to know them and be involved in their lives. Love you guys!
The whole gang one more time.
I think the pictures turned out wonderful. Again, I love my family so much! Thanks to them for all they do for me! For all of you who don't know my family, you're missing out because they are AWESOME!

It's Been a While...

So, I really have been intending on posting for a while. There's been a lot that's happened since I posted last. Like for example... our garden grew. Lots. We had lots of fun with it. We especially enjoyed the tomatoes. I'm usually not a fan of them, but I never really knew how delicious fresh home grown tomatoes could be. They inspired several delicious meals and we just had a lot of fun.

Wonderful Tomato, Chicken, Alfredo Pizza. All homemade and fantastic! We've made a lot of these lately.
So there's the gist of our garden. We also enjoyed fresh beans, corn, and carrots. We had a lot of fun with it. We just had a hard time keeping up with it when school started back up.

Speaking of school, Ben started up again and I got a new job working at a school. I work in a special needs classroom and I am loving it! Ben is also enjoying his classes and is doing well.

To switch subjects again, at the end of September, I ran in a triathlon with Allie, Mom, my aunts Elissa, and Stacey, and my mom's cousins Kristi, and Cheri. Can I just say I was super proud of myself for doing it. I basically did it just to say I had done one and I think I will continue to do one once a year or so. It really was a lot of fun. I finished in about 1:51. So just under 2 hours. Not bad at all for someone like me. Now I have goals to try to get closer to 1:30... That will take some work. But we all had a lot of fun.

Here's all of us at the end of the race! We did it!
I feel like I look super silly in all these pictures but what can I do. I was really glad to have Ben and all my family there to support us all. Elissa's and Stacey's families were all there too along with my grandparents, so it made for a fun day. :)

Ben and I are doing well and are having a lot of fun this fall. A few other things we've done in good old Logan town are visit the annual pumpkin walk and make fresh homemade apple cider with the kind neighbors who let us do a garden in their yard. That was a lot of fun and boy does it taste good. We're loving life and still continue to look forward to our many adventures ahead. I'll try and be better at posting in the future. See ya!
